In Pictures: France's anti-gay marriage protests

Crowds numbering 340,000 descended on the Eiffel Tower from every corner of France on January 13th, to oppose a law legalising gay marriage, set to come into effect in June. The government of President Francois Hollande has vowed to press on with the legislation, despite opposition.
