Fresh from a four-week sold-out run in San Francisco, Word for Word Performing Arts Company brings its show
Word for Word Performing Arts Company is unique for its groundbreaking work bringing literary works to the stage verbatim. Their style was described by author Tobias Wolff as "a new art form." In this year's production, a company of eight actors playing one-hundred and fifteen characters will perform stories from Lucia Berlin's A Manual for Cleaning Women. These loosely autobiographical stories feature a complex woman navigating motherhood, working life, and addiction. Critics in San Francisco called the show "powerfully narrated by an exceptional cast."
