IN PICTURES: Mont-Saint-Michel becomes an island as ‘supertide season’ opens in France

France is set for a year of exceptionally high tides, including the so-called ‘tide of the century’ on March 21st. Tourists have been flocking to the coast to get a glimpse of the rising sea levels, the result of which were nowhere more spectacular that at the famous Mont-Saint-Michel, off the coast of Normandy.
