2. Take Notice of the boards . Whilst being a foreigner can often seem a hindrance in terms of paperwork and French landlords, it can be used to your advantage if you know where to look. Check out notice-boards at Anglo centres such as The American Church in Paris and Shakespeare & Co. Often there’s much less competition for the apartments advertised and the landlords are less strict about paperwork.
