The Camion bleu France services is a mobile bus or van that travels to rural or remote areas to help local residents with their day-to-day administrative tasks. And following the success of these trucks, the Nord département is putting a seventh vehicle into service.
Working alongside the other trucks, the new truck will provide regular drop-in services in the following municipalities: Anstaing, Bousbecque, Chéreng, Craywick, Escobecques, Esquelbecq, Gondecourt, Grand-Fort-Philippe, La Gorgue, Le Doulieu, Leffrinckoucke, Lesquin, Marquillies, Neuville-en-Ferrain, Nieppe, Noyelles-lès-Seclin, Roncq, Strazeele, Thumeries, Tressin, Warhem, Wattrelos and Willems. In these municipalities along with 124 already being served, residents will be able to get help from trained professionals with their everyday administrative procedures include pensions, social benefits, employment, healthcare and taxes.

These blue trucks have now become a familiar sight across the Nord département and are proving increasingly popular. In 2025, their teams helped users with 39,000 procedures.
This success has also received official recognition from the French state. In 2025, the département's six France Services buses, along with its three permanent centres, were awarded the national “Services Publics +” Bronze-level label, following an independent audit and surveys carried out among users and staff.

France Services was originally designed as fixed public service centres but the programme has expanded its services through buses and vans that travel village to village - all across the country.
More than 150 mobile France Services buses now operate across France. These buses are especially important in regions where government offices, banks, and post offices have disappeared over the past two decades.
And one of the major challenges facing rural France is digital exclusion - France Services staff members can help residents create online accounts, complete forms and access healthcare portals, especially useful for those who either don't have internet access or aren't comfortable with online tasks.
