The Talking France podcast is back, discussing how France deals with sexism, how the country is coming to terms with its involvement in the slave trade and why French football victories always seems to lead to violence.

Same nonsense in Blighty - "paying for the legacies of slavery" is just nonsense. Who exactly is supposed to get paid? And by whom? In law restitution/reparation requires clear identification of victims and beneficiaries. Acknowledgement is one thing, demanding compensation quite something else.
