French union militants block access to Paris airport
Access to Paris' biggest airport was blocked on Thursday morning by union activists protesting against the government's planned pension reform.
Charles de Gaulle airport bosses confirmed on Thursday morning that access to Terminal 1 was blocked from 10am by a demo organised by the hardline CGT union.
The blockage concerns only access to the terminal by road, the airport is still accessible by TGV trains and RER local train services - although trains are running a reduced schedule because of mass strikes on Thursday.
Passengers arriving by car are advised to park at a different terminal and then take the CDGVal shuttle.
Activists posted pictures of their blockade on Twitter saying: "Macron, we too can do your 'teaching' - and we're moving on to force" - a reference to Macron's TV interview on Wednesday in which he said he wanted to use pédagogie (teaching or explaining) to inform the people of the necessity for pension reform.

Thursday marks another one-day strike in France with disruption on public transport including flights, trains and city public transport - find full details HERE.
There are also demos scheduled for towns and cities around Paris on Thursday afternoon.
