France is a country where it is easy to lose yourself, and every year people set up home in the more isolated areas to get away from it all - but what are the challenges of such a move?
France is three times bigger than the UK, but has a population roughly the same size - meaning that there are many places that are very sparsely populated.
Undoubtedly beautiful but also isolated, areas like the Massif Central and some parts of south west France pose their own unique challenges to people who want to settle there.
