Childhood friends Irena and Asaki were separated by the Bosnian war. They found each other ten years later on Facebook. Now we’ve reunited them in Lisbon.
Irena Savic and Asaki Dizdar Mehic may live in different countries, but they don’t let distance keep them apart. The long-lost friends are one of three pairs who recently won our #MeetHalfway competition run in partnership with Lufthansa. The winners will be reunited in three of Europe's coolest and most contemporary cities and we'll be there to capture it.
