IN IMAGES: Violence erupts in Paris as 'Yellow Vests' return to Champs-Elysées
Paris was once again the scene of violent clashes between protesters and riot police on Saturday as the latest anti-government yellow vest protest turned ugly. The violence has once again been blamed on extremist "agitators". Here's a selection of videos and images.
There were violent scenes around the Champs-Elysees in Paris on Saturday where protesters clashed with police.
There were reports of several injuries and dozens of arrests as the latest "yellow vest" anti-government protest turned ugly.
While many yellow vest protesters demonstrated peacefully on the Champs-Elysées, which was heavily protected by police, the government blamed the violence in the streets around, particularly at the Arc de Triomphe on around 1,500 "agitators".
Left wing French newspaper Liberation reported that there were known right wing extremists among the rioters at the Arc de Triomphe.
The French PM said there were around 36,000 people demonstrated across the country on Saturday, including 5,500 in Paris.
On Saturday November 17th on the first day of the yellow vest protests there were around 300,000 demonstrators out on the roads.

Yet again there are people here who just want to cause destruction. We tried filming someone smashing up an ATM machine but they got angry with us saying we should be filming the police who are using too much force. It seems some protesters only want one side of the story telling pic.twitter.com/GL2BWAXGe1
