A student in northern France risks prison and a hefty fine after he ran naked through a local village "to overcome his shyness".
There are other ways of overcoming your shyness.

But apparently no one told this man, a 26-year-old masters student from Château-Thierry.

Faced with what must have been an excruciating timidity, he followed to advise of a website that suggested he "show himself naked in public to overcome his complexes", reported Le Pays Briard newspaper.

He then went for a run through the village centre - totally nude.

His nude run was short lived, however, after several witnesses contacted police who promptly arrived at the scene and arrested the man.

The students now risks up to one year in prison or a fine of €15,000.

It remains unknown if his shyness has been cured.
