The attack occurred at around 1.30am at the 2F terminal at the airport to the north of Paris.

Details around exactly what happened are unclear, but according to reports in the French press the attack happened after the member of staff asked the homeless man to move.

It appears the victim, aged around 40 and originally from Chad, approached a police post in the airport asking for help.

But after realizing he had been stabbed officers were unable to save him and he died just minutes later.

The alleged attacker, who is said to be mentally unstable, was arrested by police and is being held in custody.
