The first raw video footage has emerged from the scene of the Germanwings crash site in France's southern Alps, where 150 people are believed to have lost their life.

The footage, embedded below courtesy of France TV Info and BBC, shows helicopter footage of rescue teams combing through the debris and rubble on the mountainside where the plane crashed.

Germanwings reported that 150 people were on board the flight, which was heading to Dusseldorf from Barcelona. French police have said that there are no survivors.

What is expected to be a lengthy investigation is already underway into what caused the crash, but experts and the CEO of Germanwings have explained that it's far too early to even speculate what could have gone wrong.
