Anglo expats have taken to Twitter using the hastags #parisproblems and #franceproblems to air their views over what they find weird, wrong and yes, wonderful about life in France. The Local has collected some of the funniest and most insightful ones here.
Anglos have long loved to share their experiences of France and the problems they have encountered during their stays in this strange far-away country where the showers are weird and the pavements are lined with a strange brown substance. Nowadays those conversations take place through Twitter of course.
It seems Anglos have been taking to the social network site to sum up their troubles in France in tweets under the hashtags #franceproblems or #parisproblems in order to share their pain for both comedy and therapeutical reasons.
The results will make you slap a hand to your head and say "Oh, that’s so true" or laugh out loud at a horrible experience that sounds all too familiar. However, some of the so-called problems are simply a reflection of the good life expats and visitors have tasted while in France.
They touch on our favourite French topics. There are the food adventures, bureaucracy misfires, hilarious misunderstandings and stumbling upon those seemingly tiny differences that make you realize you’re far from home. The Local has collected some the best ones here to make you laugh or sympathize.
Oh and just so you know 'PDA' means "public display of affection" (yeh, you know what we are talkng about).
Let us know on Twitter (@thelocalfrance) any particular #parisproblems or #franceproblems of your own.
