Gordon Ramsay, the cook renowned for his foul-mouthed outbursts and short temper is bringing his Kitchen Nightmares show to France.
The production team behind the show have asked The Local to spread the word to try to find any expat restaurant owners in France, who could do with a helping hand and who are game enough to allow Ramsay into their lives for a short while.
Many expats come to France with the dream of opening a pub or restaurant and while some manage to turn it into a real success, but for others the reality does not always turn out to be the dream they hoped it would be.
“Could this be you? Are you struggling to make ends meet? Are you barely breaking even or on the brink of bankruptcy?” reads the appeal by production team Onepotatotwopotato.
The Michelin-starred Ramsay will offer up his expert advice to British bar and restaurant owners whose businesses may have been hard hit by France’s economic downturn or simply never got off the ground.
Ramsay's hunt for expat-run restaurants in France is part of a tour of failing restaurants around Europe, of which the first port of call the Costas in Spain.
