You've upped sticks, settled in France and you're slowly embracing the local culture. But that doesn't mean you are obliged to fall in love with a local. Here, The Local lists ten reasons why it's a good idea to date a fellow expat.

On the face of it, dating a local in your new country makes good sense. You'll probably pick up the native language faster, you'll feel more integrated - and you'll even have your very own (free) tour guide.
