The pilot of the tourist plane was forced to consider the unthinkable landing after an engine problem occurred on Saturday afternoon close to the town of Albi, in the southern department of Tarn.
Incredibly, he was able to land the plane safely on just two lanes of traffic, without touching a single vehicle or causing a single injury.
Traffic was heavily disrupted in the area, but after securing the plane’s occupants, passing motorists were able to simply drive under one of the light aircraft’s wings (see video).
