Cannes might be a film festival, but in reality it is just as much about the glitz and glamour and actresses wearing all kinds of sublime or ridiculous outfits. Find out who won The Local's Palme d'Or for "Dress of the Day" on Thursday.
Winner: Ludivine Sagnier (French actress and member of the Un Certain Regard Jury)
Well we have to hand it to the beautiful Ms Sagnier, whose choice of dress made sure she stood out on the red carpet, even if it meant she looked like a human lemon as she arrived for the screening of the film "Young and Beautiful" on Thursday.
This high visibility vest/ball gown combo is ideal, not just to get the attention of the paparazzi but to also for alerting the Cannes traffic as she cycles back to hotel at night. And for that Sagnier wins The Local's Palme d'Or award for "Dress of the day".
