PSG coach Ancelotti denies Rooney rumours
Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti believes it would be out of the question to tempt "Manchester United idol" Wayne Rooney into signing for the French Ligue 1 leaders.
"Rooney is one of the best strikers in the world but I think it's impossible to buy him, he's an idol at Manchester United," the Italian told a press conference here on Tuesday.
Ancelotti was offering his opinion in the wake of speculation in France that the England forward could be on his way to Parc des Princes next season, although that was countered by reports in England that the striker was likely to sign a new deal at Old Trafford.
Turning his attention to Chilean international Arturo Vidal, who guided his Serie A club Juventus to a 2-0 win over Lazio on Monday, Ancelotti declared: "Vidal is very good, but 40 million [euros] is too much."
