The woman apparently came into the shop at 4.30pm yesterday and started photographing the butcher and the shop for no apparent reason.
The butcher, in retaliation, started taking photos of the woman too.
Two men passing the shop saw the butcher taking the photos, went in and assaulted him, reportedly shouting he should not photograph a veiled woman.
The two men left the shop and came back a few minutes later with five friends, all armed with tear gas guns. The butcher sustained light injuries from the altercation that followed.
Three men were arrested following the incident, but freed later that evening as the butcher and two witnesses failed to identify them.
