KFC sued over ice cube attack
An argument at a branch of the fried chicken restaurant KFC became ugly when a member of staff allegedly threw a cup of ice cubes over a customer.
RTL radio reports that the 28-year-old male customer had stopped off at the restaurant in the western town of Poitiers with his girlfriend.
The man, who works as a City trader in London, complained about his order.
He then claims the staff member disagreed and, as the row escalated, violently threw the ice cubes at him.
The customer received light cuts to the face, as well as damage to a suit he had bought for a wedding.
He has complained of earache and jaw pain since the attack and is seeking €10,000 in damages ($12,600). He has also asked for an expert to be appointed to assess his injuries.
The case will be heard on 20th June.
