Uggie, the dog from award-winning French film The Artist, is set to put paw to paper – his memoires are to be released in October.

The 10-year-old Jack Russell, who recently announced his retirement, will be telling all with a little help from owner Wendy Holdenas.

From his troubled beginnings as an actor, to his crowning achievement ‘The Artist’, Uggie will recount all he has seen in his sparkling career.

Publisher, Simon & Schuster's Gallery Book, confirmed the book, “Uggie, My Life”, will tell the truth about the dog’s life, the roles he has played, and the actors he has met on the way – including George Clooney and Jessica Simpson.

Uggie has won several awards for his role in The Artists – including the “Palme Dog” at the Cannes Festival.
