Six dead in Paris immigrant squat fire
At least six people died in a fire on Wednesday at a squat near Paris inhabited by Libyan and Tunisian immigrants, police said.
Four of the dead were burned to death and two died from smoke inhalation during the fire in the one-storey building in Pantin, northeast of Paris.
Police said the building, which was due to be demolished, was home to around 30 immigrants.
Interior Minister Claude Gueant went to the scene of the fire, where firefighters were sifting through the debris in search of further possible victims.
