IN PICTURES: See Paris cloaked in smog as air pollution spikes
Paris authorities were forced to impose traffice restrictions and make public transport free on Tuesday, due to a spike in air pollution. These pictures from the last two days tell the story.

And then there was this tweet from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo which looks far more dramatic than the other pictures. She says this is proof of the need to reduce impact of vehicles on the French capital.
