A woman was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Gaillard in south-eastern France after trying to throw away a bag of heroin which she had concealed in her underpants.
The 42-year-old woman was stopped by traffic police together with two other people from Aix-les-Bains and the group were found to be in possession of 42 grammes of heroin and some cannabis resin, according to a report in the Le Dauphine website.
The woman proceeded to try to dispose of her stash of smack by pulling it out of her pants and throwing it away, only to be caught in the act by a police officer.
In a later interrogation the woman claimed that her heroin habit extended to 5 grammes daily and that she had purchased the drugs for personal use.
The trio are reported to have been on their way back from Geneva where they had acquired their drugs.
